Wye River abode gets royal roofing treatment
June 18, 2013Wye River Roofing Project features Colorbond®
True Blue Roofing have recently completed this Dale Cohen residential coastal home project situated in Wye River, which is a part of the scenic Great Ocean Road.
We have great pride in completing an architecturally designed project which features the use of Colorbond Ultra custom orb in the colour “Shale Grey” in such an intricate fashion. The roof is faceted and cantilevered to optimise natural passive design, solar and water collection. The different angles and rakes all optimise the use of the sun and view due to the location of the build which is situated overlooking the Bass Strait coastline and Otway’s. It was designed also to fit in to the natural environment both internally and externally. The use of the Colorbond Ultra range was important due to the proximity of the ocean. The Colorbond Ultra range is especially designed for severe coastal and industrial environments.
True Blue Roofing completed the following aspects of the project:
- Roof in Colorbond Custom orb “Shale Grey”
- Wall Cladding in Colorbond custom orb “Shale Grey”
- Soffit Linings in Colorbond custom orb “Shale Grey”
- Half Round / S-Line gutters
- Flashings and downpipes
True Blue Roofing have been proud to be a part of this architecturally designed project in Wye River which highlights the amazing versatility of the use of Colorbond metal wall cladding and roofing. If you would like further information on the uses of metal wall cladding or roofing iron in coastal areas please contact us. We are a Geelong based company who service Victoria including Wye River, Lorne and the Otway’s.
