True Blue Roofing have just completed a roof restoration for this 1960’s architecturally designed residence in Barwon Heads that was in desperate need of roof repairs.  Barwon Heads is a coastal township on the Bellarine Peninsula, near Geelong, Victoria.

The home features five “pods” which was very modern for the era of the home.  The original old corrugated iron roof was leaking and the existing box gutters were installed with incorrect supports and were in desperate need of repair.   True Blue Roofing were able to help by removing all of the existing roofing iron, box gutters and re-build and install new box gutters and new roofing iron.  The photos below show what years of condensation had done to the particle board underneath the old box gutters.

True Blue Roofing replaced the original old corrugated iron with new Colorbond corrugated iron in the colour “Shale Grey”.  The veranda was replaced with new Colorbond Kliplok profile metal roofing.

The new roof provides the home owners with peace of mind that it won’t leak in severe weather conditions.  The old rotting box gutters have been removed and re-built to ensure longevity and the old corrugated iron replaced with new Colorbond roofing iron.  All of the old roofing materials were removed from site by True Blue Roofing leaving the site clean for the owners to continue to use as normal.
