New Roof for Cressy Farmhouse
February 22, 2014Cressy Farmhouse Roof Rejuvenation
True Blue Roofing Pty Ltd have recently completed this Re-Roof for a farmhouse in Cressy, Victoria. Cressy is a rural town in Victoria, Australia, about 38 km north of Colac on the Ballarat road.
This house was undergoing a major renovation on the inside and out and the owners decided it was time to get a new roof. The existing galvanised iron corrugated roof was in a state of disrepair and causing the owners issues with constant leaks. To prevent their newly refurbished interior from any further damage True Blue Roofing were called in to replace the roof.
True Blue Roofing removed the existing roof which was made of corrugated galvanised iron and replaced it with Colorbond Pale Eucalypt roofing iron. Pale Eucalypt® is described on the Colorbond website as follows:
“Pale Eucalypt® is a favoured choice for Australian homes, reflecting the colour and grandeur of the Australian gum. Its gentle, muted hue is suggestive of tranquillity and beauty, and captures the essence of Australian flora”.
As a part of this re-roof project, we also replaced the existing guttering, ridges / valleys / aprons / barges and flashings all in the Colorbond Eucalypt roofing iron. We also installed new PVC downpipes and a Colorbond Whirly bird to extract the heat out of the roof.
When completing re-roofing projects we always inspect the state of the existing battens and ensure they are secured to the rafters to ensure the new roof is secure. We also remove all old roofing iron from the site to ensure minimal disruption to the owners.
The transformation of the farmhouse from old to new was amazing!
