Belmont Re-roofing Project features Zincalume®

True Blue Roofing Pty Ltd have recently completed this Re-roofing project in Belmont, a southern suburb of Geelong, Victoria.  The name “Belmont”means “beautiful hill” and True Blue Roofing Pty Ltd have ensured this home’s new metal roof shines bright upon the hill!

The clients decided to replace their old, rusty, galvanised iron roof with a brand new Zincalume® metal Roof.  Zincalume® is superficially similar aesthetically to galvanised iron but retains its shiny, bright appearance for much longer.  The ridges, valleys, flashings, aprons, barges and Quad gutters were also replaced with Zincalume product on this home as Zincalume cannot be used in conjunction with galvanised gutters or downpipes.  The client opted for PVC downpipes in this case so they could paint them to match the exterior façade of the home.

As with re-roofing many heritage homes, the existing battens usually need some work.  In this home the battens were in reasonable shape, but needed to be re-fixed to the rafters.  True Blue Roofing Pty Ltd have qualified carpenters to ensure all structural works are completed to the highest standard.

We were blessed with some lovely Geelong weather and managed to complete this roof replacement in a good time-frame, removing all old metal from site with minimal disruption to the occupants.  The completed project looks beautiful, the owners are happy with the new roof and it means they don’t have to worry about any leaks etc. from the old galvanised iron roof.
