True Blue Roofing Pty Ltd have recently completed this re-roofing project in East Geelong, Victoria.

This wonderful client was desperate to update their house and property by giving their tiled roof a complete overhaul, by replacing it with Colorbond in the colour WINDSPRAY.  Clever clients 🙂  They were tired of looking at their drab tiles and how’s this?… we not only removed one roof in this process…. BUT TWO!  It may sound amazing to you, but it is not that uncommon that many properties that are in desperate need of a new roof, have a double layer of roof that’s well… got to go!!  In most cases, an old tin roof has simply been battened out over the top and the tiles installed straight over it.  I have heard about these kind of tiled roofs being sold ‘door to door’ back in the day!  In most cases we come across, our clients are usually struggling as the “not-so-good” tiles installed in this upgrade as they are no longer providing a water-tight solution and lets be honest, they are not visually appealing.

Colorbond Windspray® is described on the colorbond website as follows:

“Windspray® is mid-strength, neutral grey with a blue undertone that brings to mind a gentle breeze, soft shadows and the misty sea on a cloudy day”.

We love this colour, is a great neutral colour that can look good on many different style homes and facades.  We think it looks great on this completed home and has so many more benefits to it than tiles.  The owners have increased their property value by completing this re-roof and it will remain water tight for many years to come!  It also would have relieved the structure of the home from a MASSIVE amount of weight by removing the two layers of roof and installing one new Colorbond roof.
