Geelong Roof Replacement Project

True Blue Roofing Pty Ltd recently worked on the Roof Replacement / Re-Roofing project of this lovely home in Bell Post Hill, a residential suburb of Geelong in Victoria.  The origin of the suburb’s name “Bell Post Hill” is thought to have originated from a lookout or warning bell on a post situated on the hill which overlooks Corio Bay.

As you can see in this BEFORE picture…. they used to use very short sheet lengths back in the day!  The problem with short sheets is that they are notorious for rusting out in the joins and creating leaks and issues for the residents of the property.  If you are planning on renovating a property such as this lovely house, it is always worth ensuring the roof is weather tight first.  It is a relatively small investment to replace your roof and then you can rest assured that any renovation updates, modifications etc. that you invest your hard earned money into is not going to be ruined by a leaking old roof!

True Blue Roofing Pty Ltd were called in by the clients to complete the roof replacement / re-roofing project components below:

• Remove the old iron roof
• Re-fix existing battens to the rafters 
• Supply and install brand new Zincalume 0.42 corrugated iron roof
• Supply and install the new ridge, valley and chimney flashing components
• Remove old iron from site for client

As you can see we replace the old roof with long sheets now that are of a much higher quality than the original iron we removed and they are no longer in the short sheets, the new Zincalume sheets can span the roof in one run so there are no longer joins mid way down the roof line.
