Lorne Pool House features Corten interlocking panels (Please Note:  The cladding was recently installed in the photo above, it will get it’s rust like appearance after a period of time being exposed to the elements)

True Blue Roofing have recently been working on the roofing and wall cladding aspects of this Pool House project which is located in Lorne, Victoria.  Lorne is an easy 2 hour drive from Melbourne down The Great Ocean Road, Victoria.  We have many fabulous completed roofing and architectural wall cladding projects down The Great Ocean Road including Lorne, Jan Juc and Wye River.

We were called in to complete all of the roofing and architectural wall cladding components of this Lorne Pool House project for the client which involved laying the Colorbond deck iron and fabricating and installing the stainless steel box gutters and sumps.  We then fabricated the Corten / Weathering steel Interlocking panels in our workshop and completed the install with Corten / Weathering steel fascia, cappings and flashings.  We also installed wall wrap under the wall cladding and roof sisalation under the deck iron.

This weathering steel / Corten wall cladding will get its rusty look fairly quickly as it has good exposure to the elements and being a seaside locale will also assist.  Corten and Weathering steel were developed to eliminate the need for painting as they form a stable rust like appearance after a period of time in the elements.
